Black Dragon Canyon

This is the summit of Black Dragon Canyon Utah looking east. Utah is a fascinating place from a geological perspective. It is beautiful, unique and catastrophic looking all at the same time. Raises a lot of questions that I am eager to ask the Lord someday about this area...what happend, how and why!!

Into the Mouth of the Dragon...

This is the entrance of Black Dragon Canyon as you head West on I-70 in Utah. The change in landscape from high desert plains to this took me somewhat by surprise as it happend suddenly.

Season of Storms

As you may know, the Mid-West has been hit hard by storm after storm this year. While the the widspread flooding and town destroying tornados do not happen on a regular basis like they have this year, T-storms are a regular part of Spring/Summer weather activities for the Great Plains and the Mid-West. This one rolled onto the Kansas plains on I-70 from Colorado.

Lighting up the world...at night :)

It has been awhile since I have put anything on. However, since I have a little more time for pics now, I figured this one would be good to put up. I took this one almost a week ago when staying at some friends house in central WI. This lightning show had to be going on for at least a half hour. I was out there underneath starry skies watching this for 15-20 minutes! Simple amazing...and beautiful...and lovely...if you like storms! :)

Aww Yes!!

This is the actual color of some of the sunsets in Wisconsin. I took this tonight from the front of the Bible School. We had one just like this a few months ago that literally filled in the rest of the sky line! Absolutely beautiful!! The beauty of God's handi-work in creation!!!

Lapham State Park...a High Point

Lapham Peak is the highest point in Waukesha County. It was an original weather service station of the Army Signal Corps back in the 1870's. They would get weather info as far away as Pikes Peak Colorado and pass it on to Chicago.
It was definitley much windier up in the tower than it was on the ground :)

A Winter View

Lapham tower gives a very nice view of the surrounding area. This is a look in the easterly direction.

Getting ready!

My co-worker is working on the calendar for this Semester. It helps us plan and prepare for upcoming events such as the Senior Class Banquet, various breaks and graduations etc.

The area most people, love the most!

This is a center view of our dining hall. The dining hall seats around 180 people. It is surrounded on the left and right by large windows that let in a lot of light...and views of some absolutely stunning and incredible sunsets!!

Ah! A lesson in balancing...or something

One morning, after finishing my coffee,
I experimented in the art of balancing my
coffee cup. It is yet one more thing that can
be precariously balanced on it's edge :)
